One last taste of summer...

Great weekend at the beach with Aaron, Rhonda and Grant.  In just a day and a half, we packed in 3 walks down to the beach, "air pucky" (air hockey) time, and fun times in the beach house.
The boys played with the dumptruck, splashed in the water, ran and ran some more.  It was tough trying to capture what they were doing, because they didn't hold still for more than 2 seconds.  It was totally worth all of the planning, packing and 2 hour drive (and laundry).  Totally.
Ben asked if 'this could be our new house'. Too cute.

August update

Here is Ben enjoying his first-ever Reese's Peanut Butter Cup.  He passed the peanut challenge with flying colors and is  now eating peanuts as he wishes!
Highlights of the MN summer visit:

Swimming with the boys...

 Boat rides

Too windy - Eli: No fast.  Nick: GO fast.  Two minutes later...  Eli: Go fast.  Nick: No more fast.  Poor grandpa.

Ben's first fish! A perch that he really thought we should bring up to the cabin to eat.

 More swimming.

 Trucks.  And more trucks.

Play dough
 More fishing.
 More playdough.

 Trains.
 Puzzles.
 Cousins.
 Cousins with new popper rockets.
Anniversary getaway for Jen and Andy - Duluth.  Enger tower.
 View from Enger Tower.
 Gooseberry Falls.
 Splitrock Lighthouse.
A great August.  I'm back to work this week for science curriculum planning.

Oh yeah - All of a sudden Eli can count.  To thirteen. (opps, he forgets 10).

Zoo trip

A nice trip to the zoo with Grandma Jeanne, Aaron, Rhonda and Grant on Sunday.

We watched the sea otter get fed (check out the reflection of the boys)
and we watched the "Wildlife" show on the lawn where the raptors fly around and land on various perches - right next to us!  (Golden Eagle)

Fun day!
