Ben can identify and point to (Ben, where's the_______) window, door, fan, piano, doggie, ball, lamp, light, mirror, crib, chair, tree, flower, garbage cans, car seat, eyes, nose, ears, toes, horsey, stairs, many kinds of food like: banana, blueberries, crackers, etc. and basically everything in the garage (thanks grandpa for teaching him all about saws and drills).
He can say: da-da, ma-ma (only when asked, not referring to me...), uh-oh, vacuum (da-coom), cracker (cra-ca), doggie (da-gy or da-dy), and he makes attempts at big words like raspberry - with the right number of syllables and inflection, but with jibberish.
He has been "really" walking since about July 7th (meaning it's his sole source of transportation).
He can play peek-a-boo and has been for several months, he can "dance" and he can clap and give high-fives.
He LOVES being outside and tends to get very angry if he's not out there. He also loves music - He likes to play the old electric piano that I pulled out of the closet.
Here he is with a few monster squash from the garden.
The big Newberg festival starts today, so our area of town will be hopping. It will be fun taking Ben to see the music and the mid-way and the people, my goodness, the people.
